A Risk Associate acts as a subject matter expert in Business Continuity Management (BCM) processes and methodologies, which will be leveraged to guide business customers through response planning for business disruptions. Works with the business to analyze, interpret, and report risks applicable to Financial Services processes and helps the business to understand implications of stated recovery strategies. Acts as a Risk Advisor to make recommendations and provide guidance to ensure business Accountable Executives (AEs) are informed of, and understand, accepted risk or mitigation activities. Engages across the Enterprise as a Relationship Manager to process owners and managers to help collect customer empathy and drive process improvements. Generates reporting and performs analysis on data and can present insights  for AEs.

Responsibilities:

-Relationship management – coordinates, influences and negotiates across process functions and  ensures timelines are met and projects move forward; drives investigation and problem solving for projects

-Act as a Trusted Risk Advisor by taking results and data and helps business AEs understand risk implications and determine next steps.

-Communicating and reporting on BCM metric and testing results and processes.

-Researching and problem solving activities

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification

At least 1 year of experience in Risk Management or Project Management

At least 2 years experience working in Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

2 + years experience in Business Process Management

2 +  years experience in Project Management

Certification in Business Continuity Management from Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII)
