WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORAs our Buyer 1, you will be responsible for executing various activities for Air Manufacturing Innovation within our Purchasing and Supplier Management team.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • Purchasing of routine, non-discretionary goods/services, and supplies
  • Process work orders
  • Data Entry
  • Advising business on delivery timelines
  • Complete PEGA (purchasing requisitioning tool) orders
  • Sourcing new parts for equipment
  • Work with supply base at Air MI
  • Coordinate the return of rejected or unsuitable orders as well as respond to requests for purchasing data
  • Clearly and concisely communicate current processes, issues encountered and ideas
  • Ownership for deliverables and communicate quickly if something may impact timing of those deliverables
  • Document standard operating procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement for purchasing related activities
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Purchasing/Procurement experience
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in cross functional environment
  • Experience in SAP or equivalent MRP system
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Purchasing and Procurement tools (e.g.: Pega, Coupa, or similar PO workflow)
  • Business coursework experience
  • Previous experience or coursework focused on procurement, operations, supply chain, or finance
  • General financial skills/knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate status, issues and risks
  • Team player
  • Strong ability to handle and effectively prioritize multiple competing priorities and requests
