Department Overview

Motorola Solutions is a world leader in the field of professional mobile communications systems with an impressive heritage of technological innovations and a global base of installed systems. This Department is responsible for selling Motorola Solutions public safety applications to city, county and state agencies in Texas.

Job Description

The position provides executive and confidential administrative support to the Territory VP of the State and Local LMR businesses as well as administrative support to other management team members as needed. The ideal candidate will have high professional standards; be able to work collaboratively as part of a team; handle highly sensitive and confidential matters with complete discretion; and manage a diverse workload.

He or she will be responsible for arranging plans for business travel; scheduling internal and external meetings; serving as the point of contact with the building landlord on facility related issues and assisting in preparation of executive briefing materials; editing and formatting documents; basic research projects; creating expense reports; assisting in creating slide presentations; and support in scheduling conference rooms including support to other Motorola Solutions’ offices needing to use company conference rooms in Texas

Ultimately, you will contribute to the efficiency of our business by providing personalized and timely support to executive members

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

  • High school diploma required, Bachelors Degree preferred
  • 3+ years of administrative experience, executive experience preferred
  • Executive support experience preferred, but not required
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the ability to generate drafts or final communications with minimal instructions, and to proof-read drafts created by others; proficiency in both Google and Microsoft office tools
  • Efficient organizational and planning skills; the ability to prioritize workload in order to carry out tasks and responsibilities in a professional, client-friendly and independent manner.
