Financial Analyst

JOB OVERVIEW:
The purpose of this position is to perform financial analysis to help support mitigating fraud associated with credit card payments. The Financial Analyst is also responsible for developing proactive solutions and communicating potential impact on business performance. This role will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure project and business needs are met.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Perform financial analysis across multiple sources of data including financial, operational, guest and transactional to derive insights to support sound decision-making
• Create return on investment scenarios to assess risk for actions and decisions
• Maintain active communication with key business partners and present findings
• Provide analytical support to bring brand strategies to life with innovative action plans
• Proactively perform variance analysis of financial results to understand underlying trends and then make recommendations for improvement
• Design and produce reporting to share results and highlight opportunities
• Participate in meetings to influence business decisions with insight and analysis
• Identify and communicate emerging trends and their impact so action is prioritized appropriately

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• 2+ years of experience in moderate to highly complex financial analysis and reporting functions
• Strong Excel knowledge with proven modeling skills
• Sound analytical skill, initiative and flexibility when analyzing results
• Project management experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or related field

OTHER KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Sound oral and written communication skills
• Meet aggressive deadlines with accurate analyses

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• MBA, CPA or related advanced degree
• Knowledge of statistics, corporate finance and/or accounting
• Knowledge of HFM, Oracle, MicroStrategy BI, or similar financial systems
• Prioritize effectively to move multiple concurrent projects to completion
• Drive results through analysis
