Alaska Overview

ConocoPhillips is Alaska’s largest crude oil producer and largest owner of exploration leases, with approximately 1.3 million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2020. The company produced an average of 198 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2020. ConocoPhillips has major ownership interests in two of North America’s largest oil fields, both located on Alaska’s North Slope—Kuparuk, which the company operates, and Prudhoe Bay. Additionally, ConocoPhillips operates the Alpine Field and three satellites located on the Western North Slope. The company has an ownership interest in the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS) and owns/operates the Polar Tankers fleet.

Description

If you are selected for the North Slope Inventory Planner position, you would responsible for the control and accuracy of all inventories on the North Slope. This position has the primary role in the development and deployment of analytics and metrics to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of all Material Department business processes. This position also has the specific responsibility to review all stocked materials and ensure proper settings for stocked inventory to meet current demand with appropriate supply orders using analytic tools, as well as assist others as required with the same objective.

Your responsibilities may include:

The Inventory Planner is responsible for the following areas of operations of the ConocoPhillips Alaska Materials Department:

  • Development and maintenance of all Materials SOP’s, Work Instructions and related training materials to meet operational needs of the field
  • Development, maintenance and deployment of business process analytics, including metrics and KPI’s as well as additional metrics to assist in long term planning of Materials Department operations, locations and staff
  • Responsible for configuration design, usage and training for specific inventory management analytics (MRO/IO) for Alaska
  • Responsible for management and review of all O&M stocked materials, including new materials, standing stock, obsolete and surplus
  • Responsible for review and release of daily MRP requisitions
  • Responsible for coordination and administration of Material Master data standards and deployment in the ERP business system.
  • Responsible development and deployment of ERP business system training documentation.
  • Responsible for coordination and execution of new material management and handling technology projects
  • Resolve supply chain issues for O&M spares (Procurement, Logistics, & Warehousing)
  • Act as a liaison with Alaska Supply Chain (Anchorage) and Global Shared Services for business process alignment
  • Provide coordination for large Materials department-wide projects as assigned
  • Manage supply for assigned ancillary client groups
  • Responsible for validation of inventory value and quantity through execution of physical inventory counting

Qualifications


Basic/Required:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee
  • 7+ years of experience working in oil & gas industry Materials Management operations
  • 10+ years of inventory management experience
  • Intermediate knowledge level of SAP Inventory and Purchasing Modules
  • Willing and able to work 14 days on, 14 days off work schedule
  • Willing and able to work (with or without reasonable accommodation) in and live in a remote site in the Arctic, including working outside in harsh weather conditions

Preferred:

  • 7+ years of North Slope experience
  • Intermediate level of expertise using inventory analytics software

― IBM’s MRO/IO or Oniqua

  • 3+ years of inventory management experience
  • Able to lead warehouse/inventory technology initiatives
  • Ability to help implement the next generation of ERP software
  • Ability to design and implement efficient warehouse operational flows
  • Proficient at creating business process documents
  • Familiarity with MRO maintenance processes and strategies
  • Ability to design, build and adapt inventory and materials operations metrics
  • ICS training preferred
  • Analyzes stakeholder needs, global, political, and market trends to understand how they shape the future and impact business results
  • Listens actively and invites new ideas for shared understanding, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results
  • Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals
