About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Chemist I that independently performs analysis on the ICP-OES and Optical Interferometry instrumentation. Analysis is performed for various divisions and functional areas such as Peripheral Intervention, Interventional Cardiology, receiving inspection, production line testing and wastewater analysis for local municipalities. This role requires some technical direction/review on broad scope or complex projects.
Your responsibilities include:
- Performing sample preparation and analysis for various routine and non-routine organic and aqueous samples on the ICP-OES.
- Write and review ICP batch reports.
- ICP related sample disposal, chemical ordering, and glassware cleaning.
- Perform surface topography measurements on the optical interferometry equipment.
- Write and review interferometry batch reports.
- Takes direction from Senior Scientists.
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Chemistry or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with ICP-OES.
- Direct experience with Optical Interferometry.
- SoStrong analytical skills, specifically with standard preparation.
- Solid lab experience to develop methods and troubleshoot test equipments.
- Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations based on technical inputs from multiple and varied sources.
- Excellent organizational, communication and collaboration skills.me prior knowledge on microwave digestion techniques.
