What You’ll Do

The Chief of Staff for the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) within the Strategy Office of the Security Business Group (SBG) is a key member of the organization’s leadership team. In this role you will think strategically and drive a strong agenda of accountability, execution and delivery. You will partner with other members of the CTO leadership team to align and execute against the team’s vision, strategy, and strategic promise.

Working closely with members of the CTOs leadership team and peers across the Strategy Office and other Business Units in SBG and Cisco, you will drive alignment, accountability, and win-win outcomes across a broad range of strategic, change management, and operational initiatives. You will demonstrate strong executive presence in representing the organization and effortlessly navigate from strategy to tactical issues.

Other responsibilities include –

  • Coordinate execution of key strategic initiatives. Drive process improvement and process simplification wherever possible.
  • Collaborate on the organizational governance of success metrics tracking, accountability and progress reviews across FY initiative investments and ongoing organizational work, including OKRs.
  • Responsible for internal communications. Create content and prep for internal executive presentations. Drive leadership demeanor and messaging across the leadership team. Support and advise the executive communications team on external presentations.
  • Leadership and facilitation of staff meetings, all manager meetings, all org meetings, strategic offsites, and planning sessions.
  • Provide effective counsel on complex organizational matters.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, extensively collaborating with leadership, business stakeholders, internal operations and several cross-functional teams.

  • Strong cultural values, and ability to drive results through commitment, perseverance, and having fun
  • 5+ years executive-level experience preferred
