What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will work in a team environment to characterize the absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion and pharmacokinetic properties of therapeutic drug candidates to achieve their full pharmacological potential. This position can be remote or based out of South San Francisco.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and routinely employ bioanalytical methods for the quantitative and qualitative analysis of small molecules, lipids, and proteins, in plasma, tissues, and other biological matrices.
• Data interpretation and communication of results to project team representatives in support of drug discovery and development.
• Execute experiments to quantitate molecular entities by mass spectrometry in support of both drug discovery and early development programs.
• Excellent understanding of bioanalytical techniques and an individual that can work collaboratively in a fast-paced work environment.
• Work as a member of the mass spectrometry group within PKDM and be responsible for performing bioanalysis from sample preparation to data interpretation.
• Assist in troubleshooting when instrument or assay problems arise.
• Other responsibilities will include basic biochemistry research, electronic laboratory notebook keeping and communication of results to project teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• Doctorate’s degree with 0-2 years of experience Or
• Master’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience Or
• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• MS in chemistry, biochemistry, or equivalent.
• Experience with operation, troubleshooting, and data interpretation of LC-MS.
• Experience with Watson LIMS is desired.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to excel in a highly collaborative, matrixed team environment.
