Job Description
Job Purpose/Background:
The purpose of this role is to develop software solutions for the Information Security technology area of the firm, enhancing the firm’s operational robustness, readiness and compliance. You will rotate through a series of positions within the Information Security team, including Cybertech Automation (end to end development), Cyber Analytics (data engineering and analytics) and the Security Operations Team (monitoring and triaging alerts) before settling in a final role. This will prepare you with an understanding of all facets of the team in order to better support your clients and colleagues in your permanent role.
The role will require a self-driven individual as our goal for our candidate is to help them build a foundation for their career with core skills such as: learning and developing new skills across development and security spectrums, being a valued team contributor, adapting to change and problem solving technical and logical issues.
You will be mentored by an experienced member from each group you work within that fosters individual growth, technical development and promotes ingenuity and creativity.

Desirable Technical Skills:
- Ability to write clean and functional code in some or all of:
- Java EE (1.8+) and Core Java applications and Spring Framework
- Python or R
- Typescript, JavaScript and Angular
- SQL
- Good understanding of Object Orientated programming
- User Interface experience/interest
- Exposure to JBoss/Wildfly web servers (or similar)
- Exposure to BI Tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Quicksight)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Exposure to Splunk
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems/commands
- Familiarity with working in one or more Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Experience working with source control such as git
- Testing technology (e.g. Junit, Jest and concepts such as mocking)
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices
- Knowledge of Cybersecurity related technologies and their functions (IDS, IPS, FW, WAF, SIEM, DLP, Proxy, etc)
- Familiarity with social engineering tactics
