Aladdin Sustainability drives development and commercialization of sustainable data, analytics and technology offerings for the firm and its clients. The group is a partnership between Aladdin, the firm’s FinTech business, and BlackRock Sustainable Investing, which identifies drivers of long-term return associated with environmental, social and governance issues and builds investment strategies and client solutions to achieve sustainable investment returns.

Your role:

Based in New York, the Analyst will join the core Aladdin Sustainability team to support project management and execution, as well as assist the Aladdin and BlackRock Sustainable Investing leadership teams more broadly. The candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in sustainability-related projects at the firmwide level. Given the broad scope of the Aladdin Sustainability platform, the candidate should feel comfortable working with teams across regions and engaging across functional areas.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate an interest in sustainability, global markets, investor needs, and industry dynamics broadly; a desire to work in a fast-paced environment with a dedication to excellence, attention to detail, and sense of urgency, especially under pressure and in preparation for high visibility engagements; high-energy, positive “can-do” demeanor, and an ability to work as a great teammate, accept substantial individual responsibility, and proactively build value for the team; the ability to manage complex, interdepartmental projects in a professional, inclusive, fast paced fashion; and mastery in the creation of documents (e.g., PowerPoint decks for meetings, business memos, etc.).

Your responsibilities:

• Partnering with members of the Aladdin Sustainability team to build executive-level presentations, speeches, and talking points platform development and sustainability-related topics with both clients and internal audiences (e.g., GEC, ExCos, etc.)
• Supporting prep for internal meetings, including curating content and communicating with participants about meeting goals and takeaways
• Produce client pitch material, making revisions to standard presentations based on evolving commercial messaging and client type and coordinating with RMs
• Drive follow-ups and status in relevant documents and with appropriate parties

You have:

• 1-2 years of experience in asset management, consulting or investment banking
• Ability to use data and clearly articulate ideas, both written and oral, to internal and external audiences across levels of seniority
• Highly effective process and project management skills: coordination, execution, follow-up and attention to detail, proactively produce documents to track and report progress to partners
• High degree of professional discretion, integrity and business judgment
• Mastery in PowerPoint and Excel
