About this Role

We are looking for an equity trader to join our portfolio management team. The trader will be responsible for the implementation of all equity trades and trading strategies as determined by the portfolio management group. Must have experience trading a broad range of global equity instruments including ETFs, ADRs/GDRs, foreign ORDs, FX, as well as executing algorithmic trade programs and block trades. The trader will also be responsible for implementation and management of an OMS and EMS, as well as the management of executing broker relationships.

Ideal candidates must have excellent problem-solving skills, a high degree of attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. The position requires strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work directly with portfolio managers and executing brokers on complicated trade implementations. The candidate must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a time-sensitive environment, be able to take initiative, and be comfortable taking on responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use OMS/EMS to implement a broad range of global equity trades and trading strategies including algorithmic trade programs and block trades
  • Liaise with portfolio managers, executing brokers, and custodians
  • Manage all trade operations and trade settlement processes
  • Conduct TCA, Best Execution, and all other trading due diligence
  • Develop and implement process improvements
  • Maintain and service relationships with clients

Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical/problem-solving, and computer skills with an emphasis on quantitative analysis
  • Demonstrated initiative, a broad perspective, creativity, and good quantitative intuition
  • Acute attention to detail and proofing
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Experience with TCA and trade algorithms
  • Experience with OMS/EMS
  • Experience with trade operations and settlement processes, including foreign ORD settlement
  • Experience working with executing brokers
  • BA/BS required
  • 2-3 years of relevant equity trading experience preferred
