Job Description
This person will need to live within a commutable distance to the Richfield/Bloomington, MN area. Individuals new to Best Buy are eligible to receive a $500 Hiring Bonus for the Virtual Sales Expert role, following 6 months of employment. You must be an active employee at the time of pay out.As a Virtual Sales Expert, you will be based out of a location in Bloomington, MN where you will virtually build relationships with customers to provide them with relevant and memorable product demonstrations. This is inclusive and not limited to one-on-one sales interactions, live group and pre-recorded trainings providing full service and solution support for both customers and employees nationally.
What does a Best Buy Virtual Sales Expert do?
You will serve as an expert in the space of different products including Microsoft, Car Electronics, Cameras & Drones (photography, vlogging, streaming), and Mobile Phones. Our experts will focus on one of these four areas, depending on what you excel in most.
You will engage customers and employees using relationship skills, inspire them to see what’s possible through technology, and enable an experience above and beyond their expectations.
This role must have strong relationship, listening and multi-tasking skills to enable an exceptional customer and employee experience. The ability to easily understand and navigate technology interfaces that will be used for customer interactions is key.

Key Responsibilities
- Help drive a positive customer experience by building relationships, exhibiting empathy, and providing solutions to their needs
- Complete job-related tasks through a variety of virtual platforms within a Best Buy Virtual Store location using technology such as video (live or recorded), phone, and online chat
- Motivate and guide customers through their digital shopping experience
- Consult with customers to understand their current and future technology needs
- Remain current on credentials, certifications, and continuing education requirements
- Utilize soft skills to interact and create a human delivered experience via a digital platform
- Provide insights to local and corporate support teams to evolve the employee and customer experiences
- Assist Best Buy associates in need of expertise, including product demonstrations and peer to peer training
- Maintain merchandising and functionality standards of products and spaces throughout the virtual store
- Provide engaging and dynamic product demonstrations and unboxing videos for customers and employees
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience creating and curating content on social and video platforms (Personally or professionally)
- 6 months of sales, customer service, or retail experience
- Consumer electronics experience
