Responsibilities
- Perform various quantitative protein analysis such as Western blot, MSD, ELISA. Immunoprecipitation-Western
- Design and perform immunoassay and validation, antibody labeling, protein purification
- Generate various stable cell lines
- Prepare human tissue lysate, human PBMC, plasma and serum
- Strong problem-solving skills and creativity with a willingness to search and review the scientific literature independently.
- Record, analyze and communicate scientific data to supervisor/manager and project teams with clear interpretation of results and proposed next steps.
Basic Qualifications:
MS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biochemistry or related field with 3+ years of relevant industry or academic research experience; biomarker research experience is highly preferred.
Teamwork/Flexibility:
- Demonstrates outstanding ability to work with team members to schedule, coordinate, and execute high-quality biochemistry and molecular biology-based studies.
- Understanding of inter- and intra-departmental roles and responsibilities for coordination of work activities.
Communication:
- Communicates extensively with primary investigator, as well other team members regarding study details and/or findings.
- Displays innovative skills to accommodate various study designs.
In Vivo technical Skills:
- Must be able to work with rodents.
- Demonstrate basic husbandry skills and proficient in in-vivo research.
- Demonstrate expertise in tissue sections and deliver high-quality tissue samples.
- Coordinate all preparations for the conduct of necropsies.
- Document, validate, and interpret gross observations and organ weight data at study termination according to Good Research Practices.
Compliance:
- Ensures full compliance with all Lilly regulations, including understanding and following all Animal Care and Use protocols.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Pharmaceutical research experience preferred
- Working knowledge of peripheral and central nervous system.
- Flexibility to work independently and as part of a team effort.
