Human Resources Interns at Lockheed Martin will be placed in a teaming environment where they will work on projects that align with the company’s HR strategy. Each HR Intern will obtain hands on experience through projects that will be assigned in HR functional areas such as: Total Rewards and Performance Management; Labor Relations; Talent and Organizational Capability; Diversity, Inclusion, and Equal Opportunity Programs; and Workforce Strategy, Analytics, and Talent Acquisition. Assignments are based on business needs coupled with the candidate’s education, experience, and career interests.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate an interest and ability to enter the HR field and be pursuing either an undergraduate or advanced degree in HR, labor relations or a related area with specific coursework in HR. In addition to above-average academic performance demonstrated by a 3.2 GPA for undergraduate and a 3.5 GPA for graduate degrees, candidates will be evaluated for:
- Effective written and verbal communications skills
- Strong project management and problem solving skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Ability to clearly articulate strong career interest in the field of Human Resources
- Leadership potential and competencies as evidenced by good citizenship, achievement and involvement in non-academic pursuits such as extracurricular activities, community service, or special projects
- Geographic relocation is a requirement of the job, as the position may be located at any of our main Lockheed Martin facilities across the country
