Northrop Grumman is seeking a Business Management Analyst for an internship opportunity. This position will be located in our Enterprise Systems Sector at Falls Church VA, Melbourne FL, or Redondo Beach, CA.
The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Business Operations and Services organization.
The selected candidate will work in a fast pace ever changing working environment deal with financial data and analysis.
Roles and Responsibilities may include:
- Compiles and reviews budgets for organizational units using proposal forecasts, actual performance, previous budget figures, estimated revenue, expense reports, and other data sources to control funds and provide for proper financial administration
- Prepares financial plans, prepares regular and special-purpose reports, maintains historical records, analyzes trends, establishes cost rates and material forecasts, prepares comparative evaluation of actual costs against budgeted funds and determines rationale for variances between costs and budget
- Sets up of IWOs and networks for projects as needed
- Submits correction entries to Accounting as needed
- Completes monthly rate and expense variance analyses
- Manages processing of supplier accruals
- Assists with approval of purchase orders and supplier invoices
- Conducts ad-hoc reporting and research, as necessary
Basic Qualifications
A candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
- Be enrolled full-time and completing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2021.
- Be majoring in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or related degree
- •Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
- •Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2022
- •Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)
Preferred Qualifications
- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher
- Previous leadership/co-op experience, teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)
- Good presentation and writing skills
- Self-motivated, willingness to learn and interested in working in a tram environment
Intern Pay Range:
Bachelor’s: $15 to $30 per hour
Master’s: $23.50 to $38 per hour
