Slack is looking for a Content Manager to join our Future Forum team.

This critical role on our growing team will focus on managing the development of content—including research reports, case studies, and playbooks—targeted to an audience of C-suite executives around the world.

What you will be doing

In this role, you will be responsible for developing content that drives awareness of Future Forum’s research and helps us build an audience of leaders and advance the conversation around the future of work.

Key ownership areas include: 

Content and Editorial (50%)

  • Identify/pitch stories and multimedia, write and edit copy

  • Stage content on content management system, demonstrating close attention to detail and strong design/visual acumen

  • Optimize content for SEO and GA tracking

Project management (35%) 

  • Manage/update editorial calendar and circulate among FF team and partners to keep teammates informed

  • Traffic content, including working with outside experts and partners to solicit and finalize quotes, fact checking, proofing

  • Triage, track, and resolve content updates and errors, resource technical issues and maintenance needs

Manage agencies and vendors (15%)

  • Collaborate with outside agencies and vendors to produce assets, e.g. presentations, reports, graphics

  • Identify freelance writers, develop assignment letters, manage writer relationships and contracts

Experience and qualifications

  • 5-7 years experience in a content development role at organizations or brands that demonstrate ability to communicate with Future Forum target audience

  • Portfolio showcasing varied and high quality assets across platforms and channels  (websites, scripts, video, animation, presentations, podcasts, campaigns) and strong long-form and short-form writing across content types (reported narratives, interviews/Q&A, personal essay and op-ed, research and reports, copywriting for marketing and web)

  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for quality content, messaging, voice, and tone

  • Proven visual/design acumen and experience working with a WordPress CMS

  • Experience working with agencies, vendors, and freelance writers, managing editorial calendars, and trafficking content production process from end to end

  • Strong project management skills, familiarity with project management tools and platforms, and experience and enthusiasm for improving operational efficiency

  • Experience optimizing content for SEO and analytics/tracking 

  • Tolerance for ambiguity that comes in working on an early stage venture with big ideas but limited structure and many potential paths to success

  • Collaboration skills, a willingness to roll up your sleeves and proactively contribute when roles and responsibilities aren’t always clear

  • Bonus skills: Basic design capability, able to produce simple graphics and/or multimedia working across various file types and platforms (PPT and Google Slides, video and audio editing software, Adobe Creative Cloud)

For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $99,200.00. You may also be entitled to receive, bonus, and benefits.
