As a Starbucks director, human (partner) resources, you will serve as strategic business partner responsible for advancing business growth, organizational strength, elevating our culture and partner engagement. You provide professional human resources advice and counsel to partners at all levels of the organization on leadership, performance management, talent development, career advancement, employee relations, and how to build highly effective teams. As the leader of the human (partner) resources function for Siren, you will be responsible for leading team of human resources professionals, elevating their career growth, and executing the successful implementation of all PRO-related programs and initiatives. You will be expected to lead with a growth mindset and to strive to achieve excellence, every day.

You will support all US Siren Retail, all Siren support functions (operations services, business planning & ops, digital, marketing, etc), Manufacturing, and Kitchens in Seattle, Chicago, and New York. Siren Roasteries are brand icons, and our Reserve Next strategy will take Siren into the future.

The director, partner resources is responsible for:

Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:

  • Collaborate – Partner with Partner Resources specialist teams and all cross-functional teams to ensure clients’ organizational needs are met and to develop strategic programs
  • Advocate – Solicit and listen to partners’ concerns, taking an active role in resolving problems. Provide information, or facilitate partners’ ability to obtain information about benefits, compensation, training and other Partner Resources programs and services
  • Drive – Implement Partner Resources strategic plans, tactics and projects, integrating company-wide Partner Resources strategic plans, projects and objectives into client business units, departments and regions.
  • Influence – Provide consultation and support to managers on business strategies, partner relations, culture initiatives, and applicable company policies. Facilitate partner learning and development, retention strategies, succession planning and career development in accordance with Starbucks Mission Statement and Core Values.

This diverse and highly specialized client group will provide a comprehensive view of the Starbucks organization and brand as they intersect with all areas of the business in a matrixed environment, with strong internal / external perspective.

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Advanced experience in consulting and working with senior leaders in the design, development, and execution of human resources strategies and initiatives, including change management, training and development, staffing, succession planning, and performance management (8 years)
  • Leadership and management skills managing a human resources team with multi-functional generalist accountabilities in the areas of staffing, partner relations, learning and organizational development (8 years)
  • Human resource specialist in staffing, compensation, benefits, and employee relations preferred
  • Progressive experience providing human resources management services in a high-growth environment
