Starbucks is seeking a director of PRO (HR) Operations to lead the functional alignment and execution of policies, processes, technologies, and operations supporting our Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and Core HR teams and practices.
A highly visible and cross-functional leadership role, you and your team will partner closely with Center of Excellence (CoE) leaders, our central Starbucks Shared Services delivery team, Technology, and many other internal partners to ensure that we are constantly modernizing and scaling our processes and experiences.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and enjoy the challenge of aligning program principles, processes, people, and technology at scale. You will be a key leader across Starbucks and focus on delivering an exceptional partner (employee) experiences while driving improved efficiencies with and across multiple partner teams.

As a director, PRO (HR) Operations, you will…
- Coach, develop, and inspire a team of talented PRO (HR) Ops Program Mangers and Business Systems Analysts
- Monitor overall program(s) health and maintenance; drive solutions (people, process, and technology) for scalability and efficiency with the partner experience as a priority
- Drives key aspects of the Starbucks PRO Operation Model, including:
o Feedback loop execution across CoEs, Business Partners, and cross-functional teams
o Process efficiency obsession reducing the number of tasks / time all partners spend executing HR transactions
o Daily system administration, deliverables, and business process workflow
- Defines and delivery program operations, workflows, intake, governance and SLAs
- Maintains view of total cost of program(s) execution
- Collaborates with cross-functional partners, including Starbucks Technology and Shared Services, to drive technical and support solutions aligned to business needs
- Leads standard policy and compliance activity workstreams
- Consistently looks to the future always considering “how” we can be better
- Administer core HR functions; process, verify and maintain documentation relating to HR activities such as staffing, training and performance evaluations.
- Design, implement, and maintain internal policy and processes with respect to current and forthcoming federal, state, and local regulation
- Act as an advisor and main point of contact for HR policy and process guidance and compliance interpretation
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience
- 4+ years of leading technology deployments and system enhancements
- Demonstrated success in leading People Ops functions
- A strong understanding of HR fundamentals and compliance
- Excellent project management skills in defining scope, schedules, and resources to ensure consistent quality
- Effectively communicate business requirements into technical scope and vice versa
- Ability to work efficiently and optimally in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Ability to handle highly sensitive & confidential data with integrity
- Successfully work in an inclusive manner with distributed teams and matrixed teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field
