Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. During this program, you will learn Amgen’s current end-to-end secondary packaging supplier qualification and on-boarding process, during which you will interact with Amgen cross-functional teams including Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Process Development, Package Engineering and Quality. Through collaboration, you will help us identify gaps with a fresh perspective, recommend solutions to implement, and build a more robust process for us to advance.

Deliverables include

• Map out Amgen’s current end-to-end packaging supplier onboarding process (“As-is” process); identify gaps and the root causes (as possible).
• Compose counter measures that can remediate the identified gaps with owners/stakeholders assigned.
• Develop a process (“To-be” process) that will minimize the gaps while ensuring compliance and consistency of the supplier qualification and onboarding process.
• Final deliverable: present analysis and implementation strategy of impacts (financial and strategic) for the “To-be” process

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship or a co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

• 18 years or older
• Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent
• Currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship OR a Master’s program for a
• Master’s internship OR a PharmD program for a PharmD internship OR Ph.D. for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and completion of the first year of MBA OR
• Master’s OR Pharm D OR Ph.D. program before the internship starts
• Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
• Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree concentration(s) in Science, Technical, Supply Chain, Project Management
• Organizational Skills
• Project Management,
• Technical Problem Solving
• Communication (written and verbal)
• Emotional Intelligence
• In addition, the best candidate will have ability to work in teams and at times independently and adapt to rapidly changing environment.
• Skills – Strategic Thinking, Analytical Analysis, Risk Assessment
• Tools- Spreadsheet Analysis, Risk Assessment tools, Executive Presentations
