Job Description

We’re seeking an innovative thinker and strong project leader to join our creative team as Manager of Digital and Video Production. This individual will play an important role in helping American Express colleagues around the world stay informed, connected and inspired. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of effective digital storytelling approaches, a keen understanding of emerging technology and industry trends, and expert digital and graphic production skills. Based in New York and reporting to the Head of Event and Digital Production, this key role provides counsel and production support for a variety of channels and events overseen by Corporate Affairs & Communications.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute live/virtual events and video/photography shoots
  • Edit and handle post-production of video/photography content using Adobe Premiere
  • Manage, produce and edit podcasts using Adobe Premiere, Audition and or Protools
  • Produce original content for social media platforms
  • Maintain video equipment and identify potential upgrades
  • Provide graphic design creation/support for various Colleague Communications projects using Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and PowerPoint
  • Recommend creative approaches for video projects and digital events serving as a counselor for internal clients and departmental colleagues

Qualifications:

  • High level of creativity, direct production experience, organization and communication skills, sound judgment and the flexibility to deal with the many details associated with running complex digital and video production and events.
  • Eight to ten years of experience working on live/virtual events, video production and graphic design support in an internal corporate communications group and/or agency environment.
  • Excellent client management skills and customer focus.
  • Experience working with senior executives and managing production partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects to best-in-class standards, and to work collaboratively with a wide range of colleagues across businesses, functions and locations.
  • Familiarity with the technology and equipment needs for large-scale audio, digital and video production.
