Position: Material Handler
Location: Humacao PR
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinates the request and receiving of all raw materials/packaging components and miscellaneous with the Central Warehouse according to the Pharma Production Schedules, using the inventory control system and the Electronic Batch Record System.
- Identifies, classifies, storages and dispatches raw materials/products/packaging components.
- Keeps inventory of each manufacturing staging areas and manually monitors environmental conditions on designated areas.
- Generates Transfer Requirements (TR), Transfer Orders (TO) documents using SAP system, and Inventory Adjustments on the Inventory Control system and the Electronic Batch Controls material flow of raw materials, finished good, samples, reject, and waste.
- Requests and receives uniforms and gowning supplies for new/active employees.
- Provides support to Manufacturing and Packaging roles by: performing intra-building material handling, performing cleaning tasks for rooms and equipment, material reconciliation, drums preparation for weighing, compression, coating and printing operations and performing minor manufacturing operation like milling, blending, solution preparation, bulk drum packaging, and packaging component feeding.
- Inspects and maintains, daily, the Fork Lift equipment in operating conditions as per safety rules and procedures.
- Maintain the building 5S program and housekeeping standard
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma
- Strong computer knowledge in Word, Excel, Power Point, documentation and inventory software such as Trackwise, COSMOS, SAP among others.
- Working knowledge of automated inventory control systems (ex. Bar Code systems)
- Five (5) years experience in warehouse operations in the pharmaceutical manufacturing or regulated industry.
- Candidates with a Technical Degree or Associate Degree will require three (3) years experience in warehouse operations in the pharmaceutical manufacturing or regulated industry.
- One (1) year experience operating warehouse equipment such as Palet Truckt and Forklifts.
- Communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal relations, teamwork oriented skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Forklift license certification by the Company.
- Willing to work irregular hours, rotative shifts, weekends and holidays
- Federal background check clearance for Custom and Transportation Security and Transportation agencies is required.
Working Conditions
Potentially hazardous, require travel, or require absence from home overnight:
- Capability to lift and moves pallets.
- Requires physical strength for heavy work that requires manual skills and moving a capacity of about 25-60 pounds.
- Capable to work in heights
- Frequently requires movements of objects such as lifting, carrying.
- Requires movements of objects such as reaching, handling and fingering, lifting and carrying, pushing and pulling
