Department: Operational Excellence
Description: This work directly supports the satisfaction of our clients and the success of our financial advisors. You will mentor others to leverage your knowledge and experience across the Firm. You will have accountability for leading team members to meet strategic business objectives and working with other senior leaders to build effective roadmaps of improvement initiatives, understanding the linkages and dependencies with other Enterprise level initiatives. Edward Jones is committed to our goal of leveraging Operational Excellence to enhance client value by ensuring Edward Jones’ processes are aligned, efficient, and client focused – you will have key leadership role in this firm wide strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitates and/or oversees enterprise level initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma and other quality methodologies
- Train, develop and coach project teams across multiple business units to analyze, diagnose, and identify/implement solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness of business processes
- Deploy the various quality tools to deliver project cost, quality and time objectives established by key stakeholders and leaders and the needs of the business
Position Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma – Black Belt certification required. Master Black Belt is a plus.
- Experience with training and deploying Lean Six Sigma programs.
- Experience using Design for Six Sigma.
- Experience project and/or functional leadership in the industry in increasingly responsible positions, including 5+ years of experience leading projects.
- 5+ years experience managing teams with Six Sigma methodologies preferably in a financial services environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; effectively communicates with all levels, ability to exercise influence without authority
- Proven ability to effectively manage change in a demanding environment
- Ability to independently identify, prioritize, monitor, communicate, and/or resolve elements that can impact a project
- Experience evaluating and documenting cost / benefit justification
