Job Description: As a valued colleague on our team, you will gather customer requests and collaborate with your team to determine solutions to solve business needs, use applications and BI tools to explore and understand data, and collaborate with the team to prepare plans to find solutions.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Shared Services Operations – Business Intelligence – Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:* Assist with identifying and addressing customer needs, and strive to do what’s right for our customers

  • Coordinate activities with team to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence (BI) applications and tools
  • Support developing and implementing automated business processes and mechanisms to generate meaningful reports to help us deliver on Fannie Mae’s vision and purpose
  • Compile data and analyses to drive business decision-making capabilities
  • Assist with identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems

Qualifications: THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Desired Experiences* Bachelor degree or equivalent

  • Experience in a financial operations or other high-volume operations function
  • Experience building report, ETL data flows, and other data applications for business customers
  • Experience analyzing and visualizing complex business data

Skills * Experience in the process of analyzing data to identify trends or relationships to inform conclusions about the data

  • Skilled in documentation and database reporting for the purposes of analysis, data discovery, and decision-making with the use of relevant software such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, and Tableau
  • Skilled in the graphical representation of information in the form of a charts, diagrams, pictures, and dashboards with programs and tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Python (using data visualization libraries)
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • Exposure to or experience in using statistical methods, including: developing and testing hypotheses, using experimental design, and running linear and logistic regressions

Tools

  • Skilled in Python for building data reporting and ETL applications
  • Skilled in SQL and using TOAD for analysis
  • Skilled in Tableau
  • Skilled in Excel
  • Exposure to or skilled in building data flows in Alteryx
  • Experience with BitBucket or Git version control tools
  • Experience using JIRA
