Position Brand Description:

This position is for Day Shift. The production operator will work in the Indianapolis Device Assembly and Packaging (IDAP) site where products for domestic and international markets are assembled and packaged.  The primary purpose of the job is to fill product into bottles and blister packs and package into a variety of presentations, assemble devices for product delivery, and/or package products for global distribution to the customer.

This role will require documentation of process steps on appropriate batch documentation (paper/electronic), adherence to standard operating procedures, current good manufacturing practices, and safety policies/procedures, and providing input to department procedures/training for continuous improvement.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • Adhere to the IDAP plant safety policies and procedures, contribute to a safe work environment
  • Setup and operation of equipment on multiple work centers within a non- aseptic process
  • Troubleshoot equipment
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure quality of products
  • Strong attention to detail in carrying out manufacturing conduct and technique
  • Performing and documenting all production activities on paper and/or computer based systems.
  • Adherence to all policies, procedures, and company guidelines
  • Stay 100% up to date on training curriculum

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must pass a “fitness for Duty” physical exam
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

Additional Preferences:

  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Flexible to work overtime, weekends, and off-shifts, as needed.
  • Basic computer skills including desktop software (Excel, Word, Power Point, Electronic mail)
  • Excellent documentation, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work in controlled areas with gowning and personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, ear plugs, safety glasses, respirator, protective gloves, etc.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality are required.
  • Proven ability to work through production issues including basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work amongst a team, responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely with others, and accountable for supporting Health and Safety corporate/site goals.
  • Experience with GMP’s
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical environment is desired
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with electronic manufacturing execution systems (ie: PMX)

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Other Information:

  • This position is for dayshift on a 3-2-2-3 12 hour shift schedule.
  • This is a fixed duration position for a duration of 1-4 years
  • Ability to wear safety equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, protective gloves etc.).
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and off shifts.
  • Some allergens are present in the plant; a post offer allergy test may be required.
  • This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed term position up to a maximum of 4 years.
