Class Start Date: July 19th, 2021
Shift Requirements: 20-29 hours per week, ranging between either 5am-2pm or 8am-5pm. All shifts are Monday-Friday with rotational weekends
Starting Wage: $13.75 plus a 20% weekend shift differential

What You’ll Do
Handle basic and routine customer services inquiries and problems via multiple channels, generally recording consistent problem areas.
Use computerized system for tracking, information gathering, and/or troubleshooting.
Respond to customer inquiries by referring them to published material, secondary sources, or more senior staff.
Navigate a computerized data entry system or other relevant applications. Must have excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills and be comfortable with multi-tasking, as needed.
How You’ll Do It
Assists over 100+ customers per day by energetically engaging in a fast-paced, back-to-back call environment via phone, online or chat
Brings empathy to customer inquiries about reward redemptions, customer information updates, card activations, making payments, processing lost or stolen cards, statement and APR inquires, and processing credit line increase and decrease requests
Builds the Discover Financial brand by providing industry-leading care and innovative solutions
Utilizes multiple systems to respond to, troubleshoot and document customer inquiries
Leverages 2 standard screens, verbatim scripts and procedures
Qualifications You’ll Need

Keeping our employees safe is a key focus at Discover. This position is based in our North Phoenix, AZ call center. Based on the evolving situation with Covid-19, we may ask you to be onsite on day 1 for equipment pickup and New Hire Orientation. From there your training and/or work will be remote until the situation with Covid-19 allows us to move back into our building.
