This Product Analyst position supports the Protection Products team in executing the firm’s Insurance strategy to ensure branch teams have quality products, processes, and support needed to help clients achieve their financial goals.
Responsibility Summary :
- Support the team in executing the firm’s Insurance product strategy to ensure branch teams have quality products and support needed to help clients achieve their financial goals.
- Gather data and insights and prepare foundational analysis and reports that inform the design and development of innovative products.
- Support product partner relationship management in order to:
- Assist team members in the ongoing management and maintenance of the product portfolio for the firm. Execute decisions to add / remove / change products or product partners as needed.
- Execute business plans that align with firm strategic direction.
- Review and assess product literature and wholesaling support for effectiveness (quantity and quality), alignment with key firm messages and compliance.
- Participate in the design and development of integrated platforms, systems, tools and processes that create a better client and branch team experience.
- Work with team members to resolve product partner issues when they occur.
Develop subject matter expertise for Insurance products. Includes general knowledge of product partner products, features, benefits, pricing, etc. and their relative positioning in the marketplace.
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree required with quantitative discipline preferred (e.g. finance, economics, accounting, math, engineering, actuarial science, etc.).
Series 7, 66, and State life/health license required within 12 months of hire.
Progress or willingness to pursue advanced degree or relevant industry designation(s), preferred.Years of Experience:
Generally 2-3 years of relevant financial services experience, Insurance experience preferred.Functional Knowledge:
- Technical aptitude, critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to collaborate
- Solid written and verbal communication
- General proficiency with systems and tools such as MS Office, Tableau and databases
