We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join our Data Rich Measurements team, within the Analytical Enabling Technologies organization, located in Rahway, New Jersey.

This is a laboratory-based role where you will join a diverse team developing data-rich measurement strategies to enhance drug substance process development. Activities range from high-throughput method development for analysis of thousands of enzyme mutants to evolve protein therapeutics and manufacturing enzymes to implementation of Process Analytical Technologies for reaction monitoring and understanding.

The successful candidate must be able to collaborate in a dynamic, integrated, multidisciplinary team environment which covers bench to pilot scale and from early through late phase development. We leverage a broad range of tools (e.g., spectroscopic, chromatographic, electrochemical and biochemical) to influence protein evolution, chemical route selection, enhance mechanistic understanding, assess scalability and robustness, and to identify and contribute to new technology research and data analyses related to data rich experimentation.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge in analytical / physical / synthetic organic chemistry and proficiency in one or more areas such as separation sciences (UPLC), mass spectrometry, nuclear magnetic resonance, and bioanalytical assays (SDS-PAGE, western blot etc.). Applicants must have effective organizational, multi-tasking, oral / written communications skills, show scientific leadership, and a desire to conduct research and publish.
