The Exploratory Science Center (MESC) Cambridge, a wholly-owned subsidiary, is focused on driving early discovery research. We are seeking an innovative immunologist to join the Exploratory Science Center (MESC) in Cambridge, MA.

The successful candidate will become part of a lab-based, creative and fast-paced team that will discover novel biology and invent impactful technologies in the fields of vaccine R&D, oncology, inflammation, cardiovascular, metabolism and neuroscience.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

• Design and independently execute in vitro immunological, cellular and biochemical assays to characterize immune responses in multiple setting
• Design in vivo experiments to characterize immune responses in multiple settings
• Utilizing cell-based assays and molecular tools to dissect in-vivo observations and uncover underlying mechanisms
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies in the field of immunology/immuno-oncology
• Acting as a leader from the bench, driving program, strategy and execution
• Providing scientific mentoring and technical training of team members as appropriate

Qualifications

Education:

• Ph.D. in Immunology/Cell Biology with 0-4 years of research experience

Required Experience:

• Cell biology and immunology
• Experience working with innate & adaptive immune cells
• Experience designing and implementing murine and/or non-human primate models to study immuno-modulation
• Expertise in FACS, Luminex and other immune related assays/end points
• Good organizational and time management skills in order to handle multiple projects in parallel
• Ability to critically evaluate and interpret data
• A strong publication record in the fields of cell biology or immunology
