Job Description
Partnering across the Communications team, the selected candidate will develop and execute integrated campaigns across diverse social and web channels. Specifically, this individual will create social and digital content that directly supports functional activities, talent acquisition efforts and strategic business pursuits across varying product lines. He or she will monitor our social media channels to identify opportunities for proactive, two-way engagement and analyze metrics to shape strategies and tactics and will work to produce engaging visual and digital videos and stories. The ideal candidate is a creative, analytical, tech-savvy storyteller – an individual who writes like a journalist, visualizes like a designer and uses data to inform strategic decision-making.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Create social and digital content
- Monitor social media channels
- Identify opportunities for two-way engagement with followers
- Stay abreast of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat practices and trends
- Be a strong story teller and visual editor
- Identify which trends to test or emulate via Lockheed Martin’s website, social channels or other web tools
- Develop and analyze social media metrics to shape strategies and tactics
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in related discipline.
- Exceptional writing, editing and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to pull together large, integrated communications campaigns.
- Fundamental understanding of social media for business with the ability to rapidly become proficient using new software and online tools.
- Exceptional writing, editing and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways.
- Strong knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat.
- Motivated self-starter who performs without appreciable direction and works effectively under competing priorities and tight deadlines.
- Experience working in Photoshop, PowerPoint and Excel
- Collaborative, congenial and team-oriented personality.
- Quick study with an attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
Desired Skills:
Experience using social media management tools for content calendaring, metrics reporting, budgeting, news monitoring and/or paid promotional amplification with a strong preference for the tool Sprinklr.
- Experience working in Google Analytics and Photoshop
- Ability to analyze social media metrics for insights, trends and strategy development
- Experience working in Google Analytics
