Job Description

The Special Events Coordinator directs and assists in the coordination of activities and/or functions pertaining to special events and promotions

  • Works diligently to support the S.H.O.W. Service Basic Standards culture and team philosophy throughout the property
  • Acts as a role model to all employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Borgata and encourages others to do the same
  • Understands and explains the rules and regulations of Borgata programs and promotions to customers and team members
  • Emphasizes the rewards and benefits of the Borgata Loyalty Card Program to promote customer awareness
  • Promotes positive public relations and creates an enjoyable atmosphere for all customers
  • Comply with all departmental and Company Policies including Borgata’s business ethics guidelines.
  • Comply with all New Jersey regulatory requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Borgata trade secrets and proprietary information including business processes, customer lists, marketing plans and any other confidential information
  • Keeps the Marketing calendar updated with current Special Events, Nightlife, Entertainment, Promotions
  • Provides feedback and assists in the departmental budget
  • Monitors the dissemination of prizes, gifts and or tickets related to special events
  • Maintains secondary position time sheets and scheduling
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to second hand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the Casino/Hotel areas
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred
  • Ability to communicate with customers and team members in a clear and concise manner
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to manage difficult situations and respond promptly to rapidly changing conditions in a fast paced environment
