SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Senior Telecom Analyst provisions voice and data circuits for the Foot Locker stores and corporate locations. The analyst will support day to day operational activities, including ordering circuits for all store/corporate locations, assisting in troubleshooting circuits, coordinating break/fix activities and project coordination. Our analysts are administrators of key ordering systems and are responsible for delivering the right telecom services that support our stores and corporate locations.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Order telephone, internet, cabling installs, relocations, and disconnects for all offices and stores
Order 4G services for stores, and keep up to date on emerging cellular technologies
Develop, define, document and support global telecom standards
Track, maintain, and update all telecom related inventory across the global enterprise
Evaluate and implement new tools and processes that will automate, track, and streamline new services
Maintain current knowledge in the technical field by learning new vendor software, applications, databases, hardware, processes and techniques through formal, informal and on-the-job training
Contact service providers to modify carrier selection and maintain records of selections
Contact service providers to report trouble and/or escalate services
Create and maintain documentation on vendor escalation paths and ensure vendors are held accountable to defined SLA’s.
Provide emergency backup communications to stores affected by outages and special events
Attend weekly meetings with Construction and Planning teams for the current status on store moves, adds or changes.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Past working experience in telecom, and technical experience (8+ years)
Previous experience working in a fortune 500 company in a global IT role
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Perform duties confidentially, accurately, and with great attention to detail
Expertise with VoIP telephony, technical administration and ordering
Expertise with multiple carrier ordering processes, telecom aggregators
Able to work with little direction, focusing on delivering telecom services globally

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Finance, or related field
Must possess well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to coordinate activities with multiple vendors, carriers, and project managers
Understanding of basic IT, and telecom terminology
