What you are good at
- Assume ownership of several existing 1RMO Tableau dashboards; from data preparation to dashboard design
- Gather reporting requirements from partners, collaborate with data producers (e.g., operations, global data), and support data consumers (e.g., risk management analysts, various lines of business)
- Analyze sophisticated business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision makers
- Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets, to locate influences
- Develop evaluation methods that provide data for process measurement (e.g., operational metrics within risk management teams)
- Play a key role in maturing the analytical capabilities of the 1st line risk organization and identify indicators for improvement opportunities
- Evaluation and/or implementation of data audit and visual analytics techniques, methods, and tools, including but not limited to: Tableau, SQL, Microsoft Excel, etc.
- Assist in developing process diagrams, presentations, and create spreadsheets for effective/automated reporting for management
- Perform recurring administrative tasks that is required by the 1st line risk organization to perform their respective functions
What you have
- BS/BA degree preferred
- 3+ years of data analysis experience
- 2+ years of experience in creating highly interactive data visualization Tableau Desktop & Tableau Server dashboards using features such as data blending, extracts, LOD calculations, filters, actions, parameters, context filters, sets, groups, and aggregate measures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software such as Excel (including formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, pivot tables, etc.), PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, and SharePoint
- Familiarity with semi-structured data and data preparation
- Eye for data visualization standard methodologies
- Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to self-manage multiple tasks at one time
- Clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions
- An inquisitive mind; always seeking root causes, not just simple, superficial answers
- Confidence to autonomously partner across lines of business and interact with all levels of leadership
- A passion for proactively seeking opportunities to make improvements, gain efficiencies and meet unknown needs
- Alteryx, Tableau Prep, or other data preparation experience is a plus.
- Financial Services experience is a plus
