The Transportation Management System (TMS) / Yard Management System (YMS) Quality Assurance (QA) is primarily responsible for all aspects of testing on the TMS and YMS software products. This includes system testing, regression testing, and end-to-end testing. The analyst partners with internal stakeholders to plan, test, and implement all software changes to ensure that the product conforms to the desired quality standard. The analyst is responsible for validating reported defects in testing and working with development on the resolution of the defects. The QA Analyst is responsible for adhering to standardized QA policies, processes, and documentation standards, participating in all aspects of project testing, overseeing IS QA test environments, providing technical guidance, and ensuring schedule adherence for assigned projects.

ROLE
- Partners with Developers to create testing strategy and system test plans.
- Reviews test cases based on the software requirements elicited by Business Analysts and Software Developers.
- Partners with the Product Owner on the creation of user acceptance test plans.
- Participates in the defect triage process, provides reports on defect tracking, and escalates technical issues as needed.
- Provides justifiable estimates and testing schedules.
- Oversees or generates all QA-related documentation.
- Leads QA efforts on smaller efforts as needed.
- Maintains testing standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent testing procedures within the TMS and YMS solutions.
- Partners with distributed teams, outside suppliers or offshore testing partners as needed.
- Follows standards in accordance with company policy and regulation.
REQUIRED
- 2 years’ creating test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
- 2 years’ executing test cases and defect tracking.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and SQA methodology as well as experience testing on an Agile or DevOps team.
- Strong organizational skills.
- In-depth understanding of the various testing concepts (e.g. functional, usability, performance).
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to prioritize and quickly resolve issues.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Responsible, conscientious, organized, self-motivated, and able to work with limited supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the organization from senior management to staff level.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent collaboration skills.
- Scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business including weekends, holidays, and 24 x 7 on-call support as necessary.
