Our Henderson mine and mill are an hour’s drive apart – separated by the Continental Divide and a 15-mile conveyor system (10 miles is underground). The Henderson mine is about 50 miles west of Denver and 10 miles west of Empire, and the mill is located between Dillon and Kremmling.

Description
- Assists with and performs concrete applications, which may include pouring roadways and pumping forms and shotcrete
- Assists with and performs shotcrete application using underground concrete spraying equipment
- Assists with and performs duties related to the concrete wash bay
- Performs pre-shift/pre-operation inspections of equipment
- Assists with and performs duties related to heading drilling
- Assists with and performs duties related to loading explosives for face round and raise blasting applications –
- Assists with the installation and maintenance of ventilation systems
- May operate mobile equipment such as: mine tractors, forklifts, maintenance carrier service trucks, front-end loaders, face drills, haul trucks, bolters, powder
- May assist with and perform regular work area audits and note and report any issues and/or concerns
- Frequently communicates and interacts with various members of all mine departments
- Must be able to receive and maintain Explosive Possessor Certification through the BATF – Required to follow the safe and proper procedures of the Underground Personal Identification system
- Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
- Six (6) months of experience with material handling equipment
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
- Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
- This is a Safety sensitive role
- Work is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms
- Willing and able to work in a physical environment, including lifting up to fifty (50) pounds safely throughout the work day
- Willing and able to work rotating shifts that include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and both scheduled and unscheduled overtime in a 24/7/365 operation
- Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
- Freeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws

Pay Range:
$25.15-$30.35/hourly
Rate of pay dependent on competency, experience, qualifications and skills
